Sensex, Nifty, Share Prices LIVE: Indian shares are poised to open higher following record highs in the previous session, in line with Asian peers. The Gift Nifty was trading at 22,549, indicating a positive opening for the NSE Nifty 50. Both the Nifty 50 and BSE Sensex reached all-time highs on Monday, driven by a surge in metal companies after upbeat manufacturing data from China. The MSCI Asia ex-Japan index also rose 0.69%. However, Wall Street closed mixed as optimism over moderating inflation was offset by strong U.S. economic data. U.S. manufacturing grew for the first time in 1-1/2 years in March, weighing on hopes of a rate cut. Foreign portfolio investors sold Rs 522 crore of shares, while domestic institutional investors bought shares worth Rs 1,208 crore.
